July 2025 was an important month in my career because I got laid off recently despite having delivered great performance consistently. That is also what my manager said. This gave me the opportunity to focus on a few things.
Learning - Investing time in learning your passion. In my case, it is about data analytics. After all, unless you are aware of the analytics, you cannot make decisions. Keep in mind, analytics alone cannot drive decisions. You ’d want to have qualitative information in conjunction before you make a strong decision.
Helping a small business pro-bono - I happened to use my skills for my friend’s small business, which they needed. This was a challenge because they were using different tools i.e. looker studio by google and clickup. It helped me to still keep my brain oils rolling!
Join network that supports your passion - I joined Women in Artifical Intelligence network to learn from fellow women. More to come on that.
