Overview
One of the things that bothered me this month was the MIT study wherein they said that LLM users who used ChatGPT have the chance of cognitive decline. Although it was done only on 54 participants, I think it is something for us to keep in mind as this research deepens. I always think that AI should be an “assistant” to human work and NOT take over humans. So, I decided to experiment with 2 chatbots. The goal was to help users search my website for project/product management information. Given the growing number of blog posts, it might get harder for users to find information. I tried “Botsonic” and “Zapier”.
Here’s my experience with Zapier
For both of them there were few things that were common. Let me share my experience with Zapier. -
- Name the blog

- Greet the user and the user will ask questions.

- Knowledge source i.e. digitalpm.me
- Instructions - You can decide how to automate the task. In this
case, I am emailing the conversation transcript 5 minutes after it has
ended!

- Integrations/Outcomes - You can have various integrations with
various platforms. The conversations can be emailed to your email.

This will help my users search my blogs without spending a lot of time!
Final Thoughts
This automated workflow will help me focus more on my core tasks and help users search my blog effectively. You ’ll notice that it has searched through all my articles and then come up with a response. So, it is very effective when you have questions that need information from various articles. This also reminds me of my previous company wherein we were using Confluence and sometimes there were so many pages written by various people AND we had questions which had answers in various pages. Instead of using a simple Google search, I find these much more refined!
The main thing is that the goal for your chatbot should be very clear. Only then it would be effective. Unless we are clear of the goal, we will not have effective outcomes!
